Summary
In the tumultuous setting of a city besieged by the supernatural Spider tribe, Touko, a young girl, embarks on a perilous mission to return the belongings of a fallen hero named Haijuu, who once saved her life. Accompanied by Haijuu's loyal dog, Kanata, and protected by Akira, a seasoned fire hunter, Touko navigates the dangerous urban landscape. However, her journey takes an unexpected turn when Akira must leave to fulfill an urgent task, leaving Touko to fend for herself amidst the chaos of war and supernatural threats.
Meanwhile, Haijuu’s son, Koushi, fights a different kind of battle within the same besieged city. Despite his lack of physical prowess, Koushi's brilliance as an inventor has led to the creation of devastating weapons, including a cannon that harnesses lightning. This formidable invention draws the ire of Hibari, a deity who views such power as a blasphemous affront.
