Overview

Anime Finder is an informational database

Anime Finder is an informational anime database and discovery website. We provide anime information, profile tools, anime lists, favourites, follows, similar anime features and recommendation features.

This policy explains how we treat copyright and related rights on Anime Finder, including anime-related names, images, trailers, trademarks, user-submitted content and Anime Finder’s own original content.

If you believe something on Anime Finder should be removed, corrected or credited differently, please contact us with enough information to review the request.

Anime-related content

Rights belong to their respective owners

Anime titles, character names, series names, studios, licensors, logos, trademarks, posters, banners, screenshots, trailers, videos and other anime-related materials belong to their respective owners.

Anime Finder does not claim ownership of anime-related intellectual property owned by studios, publishers, licensors, streaming platforms, distributors, authors, artists or other rights holders.

Where Anime Finder displays or references anime-related material, it is used for informational, identification, database, discovery, commentary or reference purposes.

Anime Finder content

Our original content and website

Anime Finder’s original text, website layout, design, interface elements, database curation, original descriptions, original written content, site branding and custom features are owned by Anime Finder or used with permission where applicable.

You may view and use Anime Finder for personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish, scrape, reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit substantial parts of Anime Finder without permission, except where allowed by law.

This does not restrict rights holders from using their own anime-related materials, trademarks, titles, images or other content they own.

User content

Content added by users

Users may be able to add profile information, usernames, avatars, banners, anime list activity, favourites, follows, contact messages, reports or other information through Anime Finder features.

Users must not upload, post or submit content that they do not have the right to use, or content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.

We may remove or restrict user-submitted content if we believe it breaks our Terms of Use, this policy, another user’s rights or applicable law.

External media

Trailers and embedded content

Anime Finder may display embedded trailers or videos from third-party platforms such as YouTube. These videos are provided by the relevant third-party platform and are subject to that platform’s own terms, copyright rules and privacy practices.

We do not host YouTube videos ourselves. If a video is removed, restricted or changed by the third-party platform or rights holder, it may stop working or display differently on Anime Finder.

If you are a rights holder and believe an embedded trailer or video should not appear on Anime Finder, please contact us and include the anime page URL, video details and the reason for your request.

Reports and corrections

Reporting copyright or data issues

Anime Finder may contain anime metadata, names, images, dates, episode information, trailers, descriptions or other details that can change over time or may occasionally be incorrect.

You may report incorrect anime data, broken media, copyright concerns, missing credits, removal requests or other issues through our Contact page.

Please include enough information for us to identify the content, such as the anime title, page URL, image or video details, and a clear explanation of the issue.

Takedown requests

How to request removal or correction

If you are a rights holder or authorised representative and believe content on Anime Finder infringes your rights, you can send us a takedown or correction request.

Please include:

  • Your name or organisation name.
  • Your contact email address.
  • The Anime Finder page URL or exact content you are reporting.
  • A description of the copyrighted work, trademark or right involved.
  • An explanation of why you believe the content should be removed, corrected or credited differently.
  • Confirmation that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for the rights holder.

We will review requests in good faith and may remove, disable, correct or update content where appropriate. We may ask for additional information if the request is unclear or incomplete.
