Awajima Hyakkei
A Hundred Scenes of Awajima
Summary
At a girls-only musical school, students from across Japan train for the stage while living through the pressure, rivalry, and close friendships of adolescence. Wakana chases her dream of performing, while other young women around her carry their own hopes, insecurities, and complicated feelings.
Shifting between different viewpoints, the story follows daily life in a demanding artistic environment where talent can bloom, but comparison and expectation are never far away. With its focus on school life, musical theater, and the emotional ties between girls, it blends coming-of-age drama with quiet romance and reflective slice-of-life moments.
