In the vibrant world of Perception Art, a medium that engages all five senses, Kazuya Yamanashi aims to follow in his late parents' footsteps as a pioneering artist. As a first-year student at Eisen High School, Kazuya not only seeks to master his craft but also to mend a fractured relationship with Kyou Takise, a third-year student and childhood friend. Perception Art, created by their parents, has drastically transformed the art world, and now Kazuya and Kyou find themselves unwittingly reunited for the school’s prestigious Staircaser competition, where they must collaborate despite past grievances.

The competition offers Kazuya a chance to prove his artistic talent and potentially reconcile with Kyou. However, bridging the gap between them proves challenging as they navigate their complex past and the competitive pressure of representing their school. As they prepare for the contest, they must learn to harness their creative differences and personal histories, exploring not only the depths of Perception Art but also the possibility of healing and renewed friendship.
