Yato and Yukine have finally repaired their relationship, and Yato continues to dream of gaining worshippers and his own shrine by taking on odd jobs for five yen each. However, he still hasn't found a way to fix Hiyori Iki's loose soul, though she remains cheerful and prepares for high school. As things seem to settle, the old conflict between Yato and the war goddess Bishamon resurfaces, leading to violent encounters.

Bishamon's deep-seated grudge against Yato, stemming from a mysterious past incident, complicates matters. Additionally, Kazuma, Bishamon's most trusted regalia, holds a debt to Yato, adding further tension to the situation. To protect lives and correct past mistakes, Yato must unravel the secrets of his history with Bishamon, all while navigating the dangers that come with being a minor god in a complex world.
