Summary
The war against the mysterious Abyssal Fleet is nearing a climax. Only the Kanmusu - young girls who possess the souls of warships - can fight them. The Shiratsuyu-class destroyer Shigure has been assigned to the First Striking Force, Third Section - a unit made up of the remaining few Kanmusu. This mission is a suicide mission, and 1YB3H is being used as a diversionary fleet.
In the face of despair, Shigure refuses to lose another of her comrades. As they sail towards Leyte Gulf, the battleships must support each other, and prove their worth in this final battle. It may be the last mission for 1YB3H, but Shigure will fight to the end.
