When aliens called Pillars push humanity to the brink of destruction, a god named Odin gives people the power of Valkyries. Valkyries are battle maidens who fly old planes called Hero Wings.

Claudia Bruford is the top Valkyrie in Europe. When Japan's best Valkyrie dies, she is sent to Japan to take their place. Unfortunately, she has a dark history of being the only survivor in every battle, so everyone calls her the "Grim Reaper".

When she arrives at the Tateyama Valkyrie Wing, she is expecting to be treated badly. But she soon finds out that her new teammates don't care about her nickname.
