Guilty Crown

On December 24th, 2029, 'The Lost Christmas' arrived as the Apocalypse Virus spread across Japan, killing many and plunging the country into chaos. The United Nations sent the GHQ to help, but they took away political autonomy in the process. Ten years later, Japan remained under the rule of the GHQ, unable to break free. A resistance group, called Funeral Parlor, aimed to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Led by Gai Tsutsugami, the group sought to obtain a vial containing the 'Void Genome'. This vial ended up in the hands of Inori Yuzuriha, an internet vocalist who was hunted by the GHQ's forces. She sought refuge in a warehouse and met Shuu Ouma, a high school student who was a fan of her music.

Shuu was thrust into the conflict when he rescued Inori and the Void Genome shattered in his hand, granting him 'The Power of the Kings'. He had to learn to control his new ability while fighting to save Japan from its oppressors.
