Summary
On a small Tokyo island modeled after Izu-Oshima, first-year high schooler Ai Yasumi spends her days absorbed in manga. A trip to Tokyo’s COMITIA event to see a long-inactive favorite artist pushes her from simply reading stories toward trying to create her own.
As Ai enters the world of manga-making through a school manga club and new friends, the story mixes light comedy with the honest frustrations of drawing, sharing ideas, and finding a voice on the page. Its slice-of-life drama centers on the joy and difficulty of making something by hand.
