Now attending college in Tokyo, Haruka Nanase is surprised to encounter Shiina Asahi, a former teammate from his middle school swim team. This unexpected reunion brings back painful memories from Haruka's past, particularly the time when his negative feelings towards swimming led him to quit the team. As Haruka reconnects with his old friends, he realizes that Ikuya Kirishima still harbors resentment towards him for causing the team to disband.

Determined to mend his friendship with Ikuya, Haruka faces the challenge of reconciling with his past while also confronting new obstacles in his swimming career. As he competes against higher calibre swimmers, Haruka must push himself to establish his place in the sport and pursue his dream of competing on an international level.
