Ooi! Tonbo

Kazuyoshi Igarashi, a disgraced former professional golfer, seeks a fresh start away from the public eye and finds himself on the remote Hinoshima Island in Kagoshima. Here, amidst what is dubbed 'Japan's last unexplored wilderness,' he stumbles upon a homemade golf course crafted by the local inhabitants who have embraced the sport as a part of their daily recreation. But it's not just the golf course that captures his attention; Igarashi meets Tonbo Ooi, a young girl with an astonishing talent for golf, who intriguingly plays using only a 3-iron.

As Igarashi gets to know Tonbo, he discovers that her unique approach to golf is not just a quirk but a reflection of her deep, untold story. The island and its golf course become a stage where Igarashi not only confronts his past but also rediscovers the joy of golf through Tonbo's inspiring and spirited play.
