Darling in the FranXX

In a bleak future where the surface has become a dangerous wasteland, humanity survives inside roaming fortress cities and relies on specially trained teenagers to defend them. Their only way to fight back is through towering machines that can only be operated by two pilots working in sync, turning battle into a high-pressure test of trust, instinct, and emotional connection.

Hiro, a once-promising candidate who can no longer find his place, crosses paths with Zero Two—an exceptional and unsettling pilot whose reputation keeps others at a distance. Thrown together on the front lines, the pair are forced to confront not only relentless enemy threats, but also the questions their world refuses to answer: what it means to be human, what freedom costs, and whether love can exist in a life built for war.
