Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

In the year 2010, the Holy Empire of Britannia is establishing itself as a dominant military nation, starting with the conquest of Japan. Renamed to Area 11 after its swift defeat, Japan has seen significant resistance against these tyrants in an attempt to regain independence.

Lelouch Lamperouge, a Britannian student, finds himself caught in the middle of the conflict. With the help of a mysterious girl named C.C., Lelouch gains a special power called Geass that gives him the ability to control anyone with just his voice. He then uses his power to lead a rebellion against the Britannian forces and try to get Japan back for the people of Area 11.
