After years of isolation and mystery surrounding his origins, Yukito Yanagi returns to his birthplace, Ayakajima, upon graduation from middle school. Guided by his father's disciple, he discovers a world unlike any other, populated by dragons and the mystical Mitama beings. Yukito quickly learns that these islands are not just home to wonderous myths but are also the battleground for a struggle against destructive forces. As the peace of Ayakajima teeters on the edge, Yukito finds himself in the role of a Ley Master—his father’s legacy—a position that empowers him to quell the chaos that the negative energies of the Mitama threaten to unleash.

In his journey, Yukito is joined by his father’s other disciples, who have long been the custodians of the island’s mystical balance. Together, they face the daunting task of training Yukito to harness his abilities and pacify the Ara-Mitama, the corrupted forms of Mitama that thrive on human despair. As Yukito forges deeper connections with the island and its inhabitants, he unravels the layers of his own mysterious past and the significant role he must play. Through battles and camaraderie, Yukito commits to transforming into a guardian who can protect Ayakajima from the spiraling descent into turmoil, hoping to become a beacon of hope just as his father once was.
