Summary
Altos Goldfilled has been trying to become a powerful sorcerer by studying diligently at the Ortigia Academy of Magic. Despite his good grades and hard work, Alto fails his summoning class, putting him at risk of repeating the year. Desperate to pass, Alto reads an old, worn-out grimoire.
Much to his surprise, Alto succeeds in summoning Vermeil, a powerful demon. Grateful to be released, Vermeil agrees to become Alto's familiar, sealing the bond between them with a kiss. Neither of them knows what Alto is truly capable of and what Vermeil hides in her past.
