Summary
In a struggling noble household, Marie grows up overlooked beside her admired elder sister, treated less like a daughter than a servant. Years of neglect have left her quiet and uncertain of her own worth, even as she carries herself with a kindness that others fail to notice.
Her life takes a dramatic turn when a proposal from Count Kyros Granado, born from a painful misunderstanding and followed by sudden tragedy, places Marie in a role she never expected. As she enters a new aristocratic world as his fiancée, the story follows a wounded young woman slowly learning what it means to be seen, cherished, and allowed to choose a future beyond her family’s cruelty.
