Summary
Sakura Minamoto had a dream of becoming an idol. But, her dream came to an abrupt end when she was involved in a fatal car crash. Ten years later, Sakura suddenly woke up in Saga Prefecture, only to find out that she was a zombie with no memory of her past.
Soon, she meets Koutarou Tatsumi who explains that he has resurrected her and six other zombie girls from different eras. His goal was to give a boost to the economy of Saga Prefecture by forming an idol group with them. With Koutarou taking the role of their manager, the girls come up with the name Franchouchou for their group.
Zombieland Saga is a hilarious take on the idol genre. It follows Franchouchou as they try to save their home prefecture while keeping their zombie status a secret and rediscovering their past lives.
