Summary
Deep in a mountain village, a forbidden site and its old shrine are feared as the home of a curse.
Hinata and Kaoru, siblings from the family that has watched over the mountain for generations, enter that place on a stormy night and meet a snake-bodied god of misfortune. Instead of running, they grow attached to the strange being they call Dara-san, turning a frightening encounter into a noisy supernatural household comedy.
With youkai horror imagery played against warm family-life humor, the story follows a feared monster girl who is slowly pulled into the pace of two fearless children. Its seinen mood mixes creepy folklore, shrine-side customs, and offbeat everyday chaos.
