Summary
A mysterious power known as Astral power exists in the world, and those who can wield it are called Astral Mages. Fearing its destructive potential, the Empire began to oppress these mages, leading them to found the Nebulis Sovereignty to escape the Empire's grasp. This started a war between the two nations that has been going on for more than a century.
Iska, a talented knight, committed a great crime by freeing a witch from prison. He was sentenced to prison, but a year later, the Empire leadership decided to set him free, with the condition that he hunt down the powerful mage known as the "Ice Calamity Witch". Iska agreed, hoping to end the war. As it turns out, the Ice Calamity Witch, Aliceliese "Alice" Lou Nebulis XI, also desires peace and is willing to do whatever it takes to bring down the Empire.
Iska and Alice both strive for a world without suffering, and as their paths continue to cross, a bond is formed between them that goes beyond mere coincidence. They must now work together to bring an end to the war and create a world of peace.
