In a world where all creatures are anthropomorphic animals, Belle Lablac stands out as the only human. Without fangs, fur, or scales, she is called "Faceless" and lives a lonely life, unable to connect with anyone. Desiring to be part of the world around her, Belle decides to embark on a journey to discover her origins. Armed with the Runding, a great sword as tall as she is, she ventures into the unknown.

Throughout her quest, Belle faces numerous challenges and adversities. As she searches for her roots, she encounters various creatures and overcomes obstacles that test her courage and resolve. Her journey is one of self-discovery, as she seeks not only to find her place in the world but also to understand what it truly means to belong.
