Summary
Yuusuke Yotsuya has never been a fan of Tokyo, but he especially dislikes the people who live there. He'd rather be in a virtual world than try to get along with those around him. One day after school, he sees the popular athlete Iu Shindou talking to Kusue Hakozaki, who isn't in school much because of her illness. When Yotsuya looks away and back again, they have vanished.
Suddenly he finds himself in a state of free-fall and the world around him is changing. He lands in a pool of water and the first thing he notices are some huge monsters. He soon finds out that Shindou and Hakozaki have brought him into a game world and he must complete a quest within 14 days.
The difference between this world and the real world is that if someone dies, they will be brought back to life in 30 seconds as long as one of their party members is alive. Yotsuya, Shindou, and Hakozaki take on quests that become increasingly more difficult, trying to figure out the mystery of the game world.
