The Marginal Service

After a tumultuous career in law enforcement, Brian Nightraider finds himself ousted from the police force due to reckless actions that led to tragic consequences. Amidst his struggle with guilt and loss, Brian receives an unexpected letter that changes his trajectory. Drawn to a mysterious address, he discovers the Marginal Service, a clandestine unit under the United Nations tasked with monitoring aliens known as Borderlanders who live discreetly among humans. Brian, along with a diverse team including an adventurous woman and a clever squirrel, quickly becomes embroiled in their mission to safeguard Earth from alien threats.

The Marginal Service faces a daunting challenge as they combat a Borderlander terrorist group involved in the production of a dangerous drug called Confu. This drug's effects are severe due to the Borderlanders' unique regenerative abilities, making them nearly indistinguishable from humans. As Brian and his new comrades delve deeper into this shadowy underworld, they encounter unexpected allies and foes, testing their courage and resolve in battles that push them to the limits of their skills and morality.
