Niehime to Kemono no Ou

In the fantastical Kingdom of Ozmargo, where beasts rule and humans live under the shadow of their power, a tradition mandates the sacrifice of a human to the Beast King every year. Sariphi, the 99th sacrifice, stands out from her predecessors—she shows no fear in the face of death or the fearsome king. Intrigued by her bravery and resignation, the King, captivated by her unique demeanor, decides against devouring her and instead keeps her by his side in the palace, much to the disapproval of his subjects and advisors.

As Sariphi navigates life in the palace, her presence begins to affect the King and those around her, challenging long-held prejudices and beliefs. Despite the looming threat of the night of revelation—a time when sacrifices are traditionally made—Sariphi and the King find themselves drawn to each other, setting in motion events that could alter the fate of both their worlds. This unexpected bond between human and beast brings hope of change to Ozmargo, as Sariphi steps closer to becoming a queen unlike any before her.
