Once known as a brilliant high school detective, Keiichirou Nagumo is now a worn-out private investigator whose office sees more dust than cases. At 35, he is out of touch with modern tools, low on energy, and far from the sharp young sleuth people still remember.

His stale routine is shaken up when Mashiro, a bold high school girl with dreams of becoming a detective, pushes her way into his agency as an assistant. Between Keiichirou’s old-fashioned methods and Mashiro’s fearless, up-to-date approach, their investigations turn into an offbeat mix of mystery work, slapstick trouble, and everyday comedy.
