Summary
Quiet and withdrawn at school, Maki Maehara expects another year without real friends until he crosses paths with Umi Asanagi, the girl often called the second prettiest in class. Popular and easy to notice, Umi seems far removed from his ordinary routine, but a shared love of B-movies and quiet time away from the crowd gives the two an unexpected place to be themselves.
