Highschool of the Dead

When a gruesome virus unleashes chaos at Fujimi High School, it turns the campus into a hellscape of blood and terror. Students and staff become flesh-eating zombies, and survival becomes the only priority. Takashi Kimuro, forced to kill his best friend after he gets bitten, vows to protect Rei Miyamoto, the girlfriend of the friend he just executed. Together, they narrowly escape their school, now a death trap, only to find a world already fallen into chaos.

Joined by other survivors, including the Kendo Club president Saeko Busujima, firearms-enthusiast otaku Kouta Hirano, influential politician's daughter Saya Takagi, and the school nurse Shizuka Marikawa, Takashi and Rei set off on a journey. Their goal: to find their families and uncover the cause of the pandemic. As society crumbles and the killer disease spreads uncontrollably, this unlikely group must rely on their combined strengths to navigate the undead apocalypse and survive another day.
