Sajou Wataru's high school life revolves around his unyielding affection for his classmate, Natsukawa Aika, to whom he has devotedly expressed his feelings, despite receiving no clear reciprocation. After a sobering realization about his suitability for Aika, Wataru decides to pull back, drastically changing his approach by maintaining a respectful distance. This sudden shift bewilders Aika, sparking concerns that perhaps her indifference has driven Wataru away. As Wataru starts to explore life beyond his infatuation, engaging more with friends and other classmates, Aika begins to see him in a new light, leading her to reconsider her own feelings and actions.
