Summary
Kazuya Souma is a 19-year-old aspiring civil servant who is left alone after his grandfather's death. Suddenly, he finds himself transported to the Elfrieden Kingdom, a small and ailing country in another world, to be their hero in an ongoing war with the demon army. Refusing to be used as tribute, he sets out to help the kingdom rebuild its economy through administrative reform. Unexpectedly, he is declared the King of Elfrieden and betrothed to the princess. This "Realist Hero" begins to gather a talented group of citizens to help him in his bureaucratic battles.
