Summary
Ann's mother had been a highly respected Silver Sugar Master, so when she passes away Ann makes it her goal to follow in her footsteps. She embarks on a journey to Lewiston where a festival of sugar sculpture is taking place. But with danger on the roads, she knows that traveling alone isn't an option.
Her solution is to buy a fairy, a species that is deemed lesser than humans in this world and whose wings are taken as away of controlling them. Ann reluctantly purchases Shall, who she hopes will protect her on their way to Lewiston. Now Ann must balance her desire to free Shall with her need for safety and ultimately win the festival and receive a royal medal.
