Pon no Michi

In the tranquil city of Onomichi, high school student Nashiko Jippensha finds herself without a home after a falling out with her family. Amidst her turmoil, she rediscovers her father's old, deserted mahjong parlor. With the help of her friends, Nashiko decides to breathe new life into this nostalgic space. As they clean and renovate, the girls transform the parlor into their sanctuary, complete with tea sessions, cooking, and the occasional game of mahjong, spurred on by a whimsical talking mahjong spirit they encounter. This unlikely refuge becomes a place of laughter and camaraderie.

As the story unfolds, Nashiko and her friends—Pai and Izumi—discover the joys of friendship and the strategic depths of mahjong. Through intense games and serene moments alike, the renovated mahjong club offers them not just a place to escape life’s harsher realities, but also a ground to forge enduring bonds and create cherished memories.
