Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu.

Hitohito Tadano had a plan when he started high school: stay out of trouble and blend in. But on his first day he made the mistake of sitting next to the school's madonna, Shouko Komi. Everyone wanted to take his place and be closer to the beautiful, graceful girl with long dark hair.

What no one knew was that Komi was struggling with anxiety and a communication disorder that made it hard for her to socialize. But when Tadano was left alone in the classroom with her, something amazing happened. He realized that, due to her condition, she could only communicate by writing on the blackboard, and he began to write back. Tadano found out that Komi wanted to make 100 friends in high school, so he decided to help her, becoming her first ever friend.
