Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi

Eight hundred years ago, a terrifying force of demons threatened humanity's very existence. In a desperate attempt to save their lives, people prayed to their gods for help. In response to these pleas, battle deities known as the "Idaten" were born. These divine warriors had strength and endurance beyond the ordinary, and were able to defeat the demons and bring about a time of peace.

The present generation of Idaten have not experienced the brutality of the demons firsthand, and instead have only ever known a peaceful life. They are trained by Rin, the only remaining Idaten from 800 years ago, in order to survive in a world where they are no longer needed. But when the tyrannical Zoble Empire resurrects a demon, the misfit Idaten are called to battle against their natural enemy once more.
