At the heart of Tokyo lies the Takamimi Shrine, home to Elda, an ageless elf with a penchant for video games. Summoned from another world four hundred years ago, Elda has since become a beloved local deity, albeit a reclusive one. Her latest attendant, the spirited teenager Koito Koganei, takes on the daunting task of balancing her high school life with the demands of serving an immortal otaku. Elda's days are spent gaming and indulging in snacks, much to the chagrin of Koito, who strives to engage her in the responsibilities befitting a shrine deity.

Koito's efforts to coax Elda out of her shut-in lifestyle involve a mix of clever bribes and heartfelt appeals, revealing the depth of their growing bond. As Koito delves deeper into the shrine's history and Elda's past, she discovers the profound connection between the magical elf and the community that has cherished her for centuries.
